2007 in review

It's been about a week, so I can write without being too annoyed about the end of the season. Even worse, I'm 0-2 in the postseason for games. I actually had a lot of fun at the game until the end. It was almost surreal, with 2 outs and Jorge up. It seemed like you knew he would come through. When he didn't, it took a few seconds for it to sink in. I do have to say I didn't see people crying like when the Mets lost though. I was so banged up the next day though, i just felt terrible. I think I slept the whole day really. I haven't watched a game since, though I read up on the rockies the other day, since they're the only team left that I want to win now. D backs no, because of 2001, Indians cause they beat the Yanks, and Red Sox for obvious reasons. If the Indian's werent the team to beat the Yankees, I would have rooted for them, since I actually like that team's players. Interested to see how the off-season turns out. WHile I think Joe Torre made some managing gaffes, like having Wang pitch game 4, not pulling players off the field during the bugs thing, I still think he did a really good job this year, and I want him to come back. Same with Mo, Jorge, and A-Rod. I like Abreu, though I dont know how much they really need him since they can just throw Damon into right and have Melky keep playing center. I like a platoon of Phillips and Meintkiewicz at first still, and Giambi as DH, though I like Shelley in there maybe in the mix too, as well as a bat off the bench. There's still Betemit as well. I'll save the pitching for another post.
