Torre is gone

I found out yesterday when John told me, but it hadn't really sunk in till just now, after reading articles ad nauseum about his decision and people's views on it. To tell the truth, I'm sick to my stomach about it. If I saw Steinbrenner or any one of those clowns, I would boo so loud after kicking them in the balls repeatedly. He should have had a lifetime contract, and had a chance at least for a farewell year if not that. I will be very surprised if they get in the playoffs at all next year now. Most people have been saying that he deserved better. Makes me flash back to Game 4, when Joe came out of the dugout, and he got a standing O and the entire stadium was cheering "Torre!" and clapping. I really didn't think it was going to be the last time I got to cheer for him. This really blows.
